Non EU Conditions "Sciences"


Undergraduate - Bachelor

Student with no academic background (or with less than 2 completed academic years)

On the date of submission of the application, the student must hold a recent secondary education diploma, obtained in 2022, 2023 or 2024 and its equivalence to the CESS ; with a general average of 13/20 and with 12/20 in in mathematics, physics, chemistry and natural sciences.

Student with academic background (minimum 2 academic years completed)

  1. Students must have acquired at least 75% of the credits in their annual study program for each of the higher education years preceding their application, except possibly for one year.
    If the studies were carried out in an educational system which does not apply progression by accumulation of credits, the student must have successfully completed each year of study, except, possibly, one year.
    The skills acquired must be certified by an overall average of at least 12/20.
  2. The student cannot have already obtained another bachelor's degree in the French Community of Belgium

Master

  1. Students must hold an undergraduate degree obtained in a higher education institution recognized by the competent authorities in the country of origin (after 3 years and with at least 180 credits) or be in the last year of studies leading to this diploma. In the latter case, the final admission of the candidate will be subject to obtaining this diploma.
  2. Students must have acquired at least 75% of the credits in their annual study program for each of the higher education years preceding their application, except possibly for one year.
    If the studies were carried out in an educational system which does not apply progression by accumulation of credits, the student must have successfully completed each year of study, except, possibly, one year.
  3. The skills acquired must be certified by an overall average of at least 12/20.
  4. Previous studies must be related to the requested field (for “orphaned” masters, similar studies to studies organized in the French Community of Belgium and giving access to said masters).
  5. The student cannot hold another master's degree or a specialization master's degree or a doctoral degree in the French Community of Belgium.
  6. Additional conditions for all applications for admission to a Master's program: the letter of application must include a provisional proposal for the first-year program and the choice of a major, with justification of the proposals in relation to the professional project.

NB:

Candidates wishing to participate in the co-diploma programme with the University of Luxembourg for the Master in Environmental Sciences and Management (120 ECTS) are requested to select this course (Master in Environmental Management, Sustainable Development, joint degree with the University of Luxembourg). It is requested to submit only one application to one of the two institutions. A pooling of applications between the two universities will be carried out and candidates will be personally informed of the decision concerning their application. Proof of English language proficiency at least at B2 level is required. Please note that for administrative reasons, no applications from students of non-EU nationality will be accepted after 31 March 2024.

Specialised Master

  1. Students must hold a 2nd cycle diploma obtained in a higher education establishment recognized by the competent authorities in the country of origin (after 5 years of study and with at least 300 credits) or be in the last year of studies leading to this diploma. In the latter case, the final admission of the candidate will be subject to obtaining this diploma.
  2. Students must have acquired at least 75% of the credits in their annual study program for each of the higher education years preceding their application for registration, except possibly for one year.
    If the studies were carried out in an educational system which does not apply progression by accumulation of credits, the student must have successfully completed each year of study, except, possibly, one year.
  3. The skills acquired must be certified by an overall average of at least 12/20.
  4. The student may not have already obtained another specialization master's degree or a doctoral degree in the French Community of Belgium.
