Reference Institutions
Certain study programmes are organised as dual degrees with other partner institutions. For these study programmes, registration must be done in the referent institution.
Since the 2016-2017 academic year, the conventions governing the study programmes organised as dual degrees between several institutions of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation designate a referent institution.
The referent institution is the institution of higher education which ensures the centralisation of the administrative and academic management of the programme and students.
Therefore, any student wishing to register for a study programme organised as a dual degree must carry out their administrative procedures with the referent institution.
The registration fees are paid to the referent institution and, unless otherwise stipulated, the study and exam regulations are those of the referent institution.
In order to ensure good administrative management of the student's course (access to the website, libraries, syllabuses and other online data), the referent institution transmits to the partner institutions the list of students enrolled in the joint programme.
