To be qualified as a student resident, you must prove your residence in Belgium according to one of the criteria listed below and provide the relevant documents.

Case 1: You are Belgian and live in Belgium Case 2: You are a national of the European Union and have lived in Belgium for at least 5 years Case 3: You are a non-European Union national and have lived in Belgium for at least 5 years Case 4: You have a diplomatic/consular/special identity card and live in Belgium Case 5: You are recognised as a refugee by Belgium Case 6: You have applied for asylum/international protection in Belgium Case 7: You receive subsidiary protection Case 8: You receive temporary protection Case 9: Your father, mother, legal guardian, legal cohabitant or husband or wife corresponds to one of the following categories Case 10: For at least 15 months, you have lived in Belgium and have professional or replacement income Case 11: For at least 6 months, your father, mother, legal guardian, legal cohabitant or spouse has been continuously resident in Belgium and has a professional or replacement income in Belgium Case 12: You have lived uninterruptedly in Belgium for at least 3 years Case 13: You have a scholarship in the context of development cooperation
