he gateway process is designed to help you make the best possible transition to university education. It ensures that your access to the various masters programs is under the best possible conditions, providing you with the prerequisites you need to succeed.

How the gateways work in 4 stages :

1	Identify the Masters courses to which my baccalaureate gives me access

Select your course of study to identify all the access options available to your bachelor's degree holder.

Next to each stream, a link will take you straight to the page presenting the master's degree you have been offered. From this page, various tabs - overview, in-depth presentation, detailed program and career opportunities - provide you with a detailed view.

The Master's you're interested in isn't on the list?

If you don't see a master's degree you'd like to join on the access list, you can still apply for access on the basis of an admission file.

Your application will be analyzed by the Faculty Admissions Committee, which will issue an opinion on your eligibility within approximately 4 weeks, based on your educational background, professional experience and motivation.

You can apply as early as the February preceding your graduation. The jury will then make its decision, subject to your success in the current year. This will enable you to anticipate possible scenarios.

2	Plan the duration of this new training phase

In most cases, you will be required to complete a complementary program - known as a "bridging program" - before you can access Block 1 of the desired Master's degree. This is known as "block 0".

For holders of a vocational bachelor's degree, it often totals 30, 45 or60creditsmaximum, and therefore requires an additional year.

For a 120-credit Master's degree, therefore, 3 years of study are generally required, starting with a diploma from a Haute Ecole or École supérieure des arts.

For a 60-credit Master's degree, the principle is identical, but the entire course is shortened to two years instead of three.

Master 60 or Master 120? What's the difference?

For some fields of study, students can choose between a 60-credit Master's degree or a 120-credit Master's degree. The 60-credit Master's degree is valuable on the job market, but consists of general training and does not correspond to the European model. Although it is the student's only 2nd cycle diploma, it does not give access to a doctorate, which requires a 2nd cycle of 120 credits.

You can consult the complete list of courses for blocks 1 & 2 of your master's degree , as well as the detailed program for your gateway program - known as " block 0 " - atdirectly via , the online course program.

To do this, select the Master of your choice, click on the " Detailed program " tab, then on" Program structure ".
