The swearing-in ceremony for new members of the academic staffand the ceremony to honor new F.R.S.-FNRS permanent representatives and emeritus, honorary and retired members of the teaching staff was held on Tuesday, October 07, 2025 at the Salle académique of the Université de Liège.

he Rector Anne-Sophie Nyssen welcomed with pride and emotion the new members of the academic body (teaching staff and permanent representatives of the F.R.S.-FNRS), as well as the retiring lecturers. She underlined the essential continuity between those who are moving on to new adventures and the new vital forces that make up the richness of the Université de Liège.
Dear new academics, you all have unique backgrounds. But if you are here tonight, it's because your commitment to research, your commitment to teaching, bears witness to a passion. A passion shared with us, the passion to pass on.
