Officialised since the start of the 2010-2011 academic year, the student athlete status allows students to take on studies and high-level athletics.

ULiège Student Athlete status may be granted to any regularly enrolled student at the university who submits a complete file and who meets one of the following criteria:
First semester: September 30, 2025
Second semester: January 31, 2026
(Commission meeting dates : September 17, 2025, October 9, 2025 and February 10, 2026)
