Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset? Want to launch a business while studying? ULiège has created a special status to support you.

The ULiège Student Entrepreneur status is not to be confused with the Independent Student Status granted by the Federal Public Service. 

These are two distinct statuses:

• The Student Entrepreneur status offers academic accommodations and university-level support
• The Independent Student status provides fiscal and social security advantages

Who is it for?

The ULiège Student Entrepreneur status may be granted to any regularly enrolled student who submits a complete application and meets one of the following criteria:

• Has a business start-up project
• Is in the start-up phase of a business
• Is already the founder or director of a business

What are the benefits?

Personalized support

• Supervision by an academic tutor to help navigate faculty-related procedures
• Support from the status administrative coordination team

Recognition

• Promotion of the entrepreneurial project through ULiège's communication and promotional activities

Study arrangements

• Possibility to lighten the academic year until October 31
• Specific arrangements for teaching activities, assessments and exams
• Priority access to the Study Guidance Service and the University Orientation Service

Logistical advantages

• Access to the facilities of ULiège’s student incubator VenturLab and special support for project development 

Application deadlines

Firts semester: September 30, 2025

Second semester: March 1, 2026

(Status Commission meeting dates : October 16, 2025 and March 12, 2026)
