Students with disabilities, a team by your side

ULiège has created a status for students with disabilities,  enabling each students to pursue their university studies through the implementation of rasonable acco.

Who is it for?

ULiège welcomes and supports students who face challenges related to:

  • a sensory or motor disability
  • a chronic or debilitating illness
  • a psychological or psychiatric disorder
  • a learning disability (e.g., diagnosed dyslexia)
  • an accident or surgery causing a disability lasting at least 3 months

What are the conditions?

  • Any regularly enrolled ULiège student with a disability may apply for Student with Disabilities (ESH-ULiège) Status. This status is granted according to the university's internal regulations and the "Paysage" and "Inclusive Higher Education" decrees:
  • automatically for students whose disability is already recognized by an officially accredited body (the Agency for Quality of Life and/or the of Social Affairs Ministry)
  • On the basis of a detailed medical/logopedic therapy /neuropsychological/psychiatric report dated within the last 2 years (as of the 2025–2026 academic year) for all other cases

The student's situation is reassessed every academic year.

What are the accommodations?

Personalized support

  • Individual guidance provide by the Service for Students with Disabilities
  • Specific supervision within the student’s faculty
  • Liaison with other university services and specialised centers outside the university
