For whom?

For students who are not holders of a legal title for access to 1st cycle studies. Non-EU students are only admitted to the exam if they are asylum seekers, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, refugees, assimilated , studying in Belgium at secondary level or legally residing in the country.

For what?

In application of the decree of 7 November 2013, the University organises an admission examination which gives access to all undergraduate studies, with the exception of Civil Engineering studies.

This exam must include knowledge of French (written and oral), mathematics and a foreign language (Dutch, German or English).  As for French and mathematics, the student will choose which of these two subjects will be the subject of a thorough test. In addition, he/she will select three of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography,  Economics and Latin.

At the Sart Tilman campus.

When?

First session:

Regristration deadline : 14 June 2024
Exams from 24 June to 28 June 2024
Deliberations : 5 July 2024

Second session:

Registration deadline : 9 August 2024
Exams from 19 August to 23 August 2024
Deliberations : 30 August 2024

How?

By returning the registration form  duly completed, accompanied by a recto / verso copy of the identity card in order of validity as well as the supporting documents of the activities of the last five years to the address eaes@uliege.be (documents in pdf format and in a single document).

After examination of the application, acknowledgement of receipt is sent to the student, specifying the practical modalities (payment, schedules). They will also receive a summons inviting them to present themselves at the times and days indicated, along with proof of identity and proof of payment of the registration fees.

How much?

The registration fee is set at 132 EUR per session. Non-payment of the fee will automatically result in exclusion.  Asylum seekers, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection and persons who have acquired political refugee status at the earliest since 1 January of the calendar year preceding the academic year of registration are entitled to free tuition. 

 

Proclamation

The proclamation of the 1st session will be held on Friday afternoon, July 5, 2024 and the 2nd session on Friday afternoon, August 30, 2024.
Regardless of the health context, the results will be published on this page, by matricule number, within hours of the proclamation.

Students who have passed the entrance exam must collect their certificate of success and their report card in person, with their valid identity card, at the Registration and Admissions department (place du 20-Août, Liège).  Unsuccessful students will receive their attestation of deferment and their grade report by post.

Students who wish to consult their exam papers must make an appointment with the professor concerned (see professor availability - currently being updated).
