The International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) is a formal educational body established in Geneva.

2218 institutions in 125 countries are authorized by the IBO to deliver the International Baccalaureate of Geneva. Holders of an International Baccalaureate of Geneva do not need to request an equivalence.

Depending on the number of courses taught in French in the followed programme, holders of an International Baccalaureate do or do not need to take the French proficiency examination.
