In memory of the Minister of State Jean Gol and to perpetuate his memory, a foundation named "Fondation Jean Gol" has been created within the Patrimoine de l'Université de Liège.

The aim of this foundation is, on the one hand, to help or reward students, researchers, members of the scientific staff or Services of the University of Liège for their results, research or work, and on the other hand, to enable the university institutions of the French-speaking Community of Belgium to benefit from the contribution of eminent scientific personalities.
To meet these objectives, the Foundation has organizedan annual prize, worth €2,500, reserved for a graduate of the Université de Liège who is pursuing postgraduate studies or research activities at the Université de Liège in the field of law or information-communication.
Projects submitted for the prize must be submitted by May 10 of each year to the secretariats of the two Faculties concerned (Law and Philosophy & Letters).

Four copies of the application must include:

  • a maximum two-page typed description of the project
  • the candidate's curriculum vitae
  • a reasoned opinion from one or two members of the permanent academic or scientific staff of the Université de Liège
Applications will be examined by a committee made up of professors and lecturers with teaching experience in the fields concerned. This Committee will be appointed on the basis of proposals made by the Faculties concerned and approved by the Foundation's Management Board.
The deadline for submitting applications to your faculty secretariat is May 10, 2018.
