Registration procedures for the CAPAES

The CAPAES (Certificat d'Aptitude Pédagogique Approprié à l'Enseignement Supérieur) is a pedagogical qualification for teachers in higher education in higher education institutions and in higher education for social promotion (short and long type).

Requirements

You can register for the CAPAES course at the University if :

  • You hold a 2nd cycle qualification (Bachelor's or Master's degree) or another qualification authorizing your recruitment to one of the positions listed below;
  • You are working as a practical training master, assistant master or lecturer in a higher education institution, or as a teacher of general courses, technical courses, professional practice courses, technical and professional practice courses, psychology - pedagogy - methodology courses, special courses or philosophy in higher education for social promotion;
  • Your commitment at a university is for a period of three months or more, without which practical training is not possible.

Registration fee for the CAPAES

  • Registration fee: EUR 279.00 for the first year

Preliminary remarks

  • When you fill in the online form, you have to choose the CAPAES in connection with your 2nd cycle training.
    Example: if you have a master's degree in mathematics, you should choose a CAPAES in sciences
  • The form will automatically ask you for a series of documents, you are exempted from providing a letter of motivation and a proof of language knowledge. For the past encoding, you will only need to provide your 2nd cycle diploma and the last 5 years' supporting documents.
  • You will be required to provide a certificate of employment issued by the University by which you are employed for the academic year of your registration for the capaes
