Access conditions to the 2nd cycle (master) — EU (outside Belgium)
There are general entry requirements for the Master. You should check them beforehand.
No direct access (with a foreign diploma)
If you do not benefit from direct access, there are specific conditions for certain study programmes:
Students who were enrolled in Belgian higher education in 2021-2022 and who haven’t made their application by 31 August for valid reasons may complete the form by 30 September. However, the jury concerned will be free to examine their file or not based on the relevance of the reason for the delay provided by the student.
Example of a relevant reason: a student registered for a Master’s degree in 2021-2022 decides, after having received their results for the 2nd session, to swap to another Master’s degree, which they don’t have automatic access to based on their Bachelor’s degree.
Master’s degree in Medicine or Dentistry
These masters are subject to special conditions. The relevant procedure is described at a specific page
Master in Environmental science and management (120 ECTS)
Candidates wishing to participate in the co-diploma programme with the University of Luxembourg for the Master in Environmental Sciences and Management (120 ECTS) are requested to select this course (Master in Environmental Management, Sustainable Development, joint degree with the University of Luxembourg). It is requested to submit only one application to one of the two institutions. A pooling of applications between the two universities will be carried out and candidates will be personally informed of the decision concerning their application. Proof of English language proficiency at least at B2 level is required. Please note that for administrative reasons, no applications from students of non-EU nationality will be accepted after 31 March 2024.

Candidates who wish to follow the Master in Environmental Science and Management (without the co-diploma) should select (Master sc. & gest. env., à fin.)
Architecture faculty
You will have to produce imperatively the files in grouped PDF format of the 3 most recent projects carried out, which will include graphic presentation boards, photos of potential models, presentation texts of the programme, substantive themes and the fact sheet of the projects, as well as the implementation schedule of the exercise. If already completed, provide the dissertation (PDF format). Provide detailed programmes of the courses taken (accompanied by tables of contents).
Masters in Psychology
An average of at least 12/20 in the last year of the first cycle of bachelor's degree / undergraduate and no mark lower than 10/20 in one or more of the subjects in the program of your first cycle / undergraduat, are required by the jury for the files of candidates holding a foreign academic degree.
Universities in the French Community of Belgium may refuse the registration application of a non-fundable student on the basis of his or her academic record (cf. art. 5 of the decree of 11 April 2014).
This measure applies in particular to students who already have a certain number of registrations in the same course of study (without having obtained a degree).
In addition, students who enrol in a course of study after failing twice in a competitive examination or any test enabling them to undertake or continue higher education in the same course of study are not eligible for funding.
